Bill's Volunteer Story

Bill Woodcock is a volunteer who has served with the Mission for sometime. He loves the outdoors and wanted to share the love of nature with children who may not otherwise be able to go on a hike. He joined forces with some of our staff and took the kids on a hike to Twin Falls.

At first the kids were less then enthused about hiking. They thought it would be fun, but they became worried about wild animals attacking them. Never having been exposed to the woods you can imagine just how scary it could be for some children. Once out of the car the kids enjoyed finding slugs, seeing the waterfall and eating lunch on the rocks and logs. They got ice cream afterwards and that was a real treat for them!
