The Climb Out of Homelessness and Addiction

Watch the video documentary of several men from our men's recovery program as they train and attempt to summit Mt. Rainier, along with two Emmy award-winning TV journalists, John Sharify and Doug Burgess.

This was truly a landmark event in these men's lives. Many have been homeless and addicted to drugs for years.  Share this documentary with friends on Facebook!

Special thanks to Alex VanSteen, a Senior Supervisor with Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. who volunteered to lead the expedition and enlisted the help of two other veteran guides and Whittaker Mountaineering who donated almost every needed piece of clothing, food and equipment and REI donated additional items not covered by Whittaker Mountaineering.

"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:11
